I was born and raised here in the Central Coast of California. Friends and family would describe me as a textbook extrovert - I am happiest when I'm engaging with and learning about others!Â
While at school, I took advanced math classes and enjoyed the simple problem-and-solution nature of mathematics in general. I appreciated the hard work of all of my math teachers, but I also couldn't help but notice the flawed system of the traditional classroom.
I truly discovered math's potential when I got the experience of working as a math instructor. I enjoyed every bit of it! All of the lightbulb moments I got to see my students have made a lasting impression on me. I became convinced that math was never impossible. It was all about perspective.
When I'm not doing math, I love reading, playing my guitars and ukuleles, and painting!
Find fresh perspectives that make previously confusing math concepts make sense to them.
Make each and every student I encounter feel understood, self-confident, and smart, as they very well should!
Go back and fill in the gaps so that your student builds a strong math foundation quickly while also being thorough.
