I was born and raised here in the Central Coast of California. Friends and family would describe me as a textbook extrovert - I am happiest when I'm engaging with and learning about others!Â
While at school, I took advanced math classes and enjoyed the simple problem-and-solution nature of mathematics in general.
I truly discovered math's potential when I got the experience of working as a math instructor. I enjoyed every bit of it! All of the lightbulb moments I got to see my students have made a lasting impression on me. I became convinced that math was never impossible. It was all about perspective.
When I'm not doing math, I love playing my guitars and ukuleles, riding a rollercoaster, or painting!
I am a former Mathnasium instructor, and I received extensive training from experts during my employment. The focus of my training was how to present math concepts to children in a simple, effective way with a highly personalized approach.
And I am a college student working to get certified as a Paraeducator! Once the spring semester starts, my classes will teach me how to connect with students of all backgrounds and build effective, customized curriculum.
Find fresh perspectives that make previously confusing math concepts make sense to them.
Make each and every student I encounter feel understood, self-confident, and smart, as they very well should!
Go back and fill in the gaps so that your student builds a strong math foundation quickly while also being thorough.
